Welcome to ICAR - Krishi Vigyan Kendra, North Goa
Krishi Vigyan Kendra - North Goa was sanctioned in the year 1983 by ICAR. It actually started functioning from 1st April 1984, from 1984 to 2005, it was catering for whole of Goa. Since 2005 i.e. after starting of new KVK for South Goa, this KVK is exclusively for North Goa district. Initially KVK was functioning in host Institute building i.e. from 1984 -2001 then it was shifted to the farmers hostel in the year 2002. In the year 2005 an administrative building was constructed and thereafter it started functioning from said new building.
KVK is well connected with roadways, railways and airways. To reach KVK you have nearest railway station named Karmali which is just 500 mtrs away. If you are traveling from roadways the the nearest major bus stand is Panaji bus stand which is 12 km away, from there you can take a local bus to Old Goa town. For the persons coming through airways the ariport is Dabolim at Vasco which 32 km away.
