Description :

Body elongate, large eyes with convex head profile and forked caudal fin. Yellowish in colour with orange lines following scale rows on back and lateral regions. A characteristic dark yellow stripe is present from snout to caudal fin on the lateral side

Feeds on small fishes and crustaceans

Utilization

It is used as an aquarium fish and large fishes are marketed in fresh/chilled form
