Description :

Adults have black-centered scales in the main white band. Juveniles have long white banners. Has mostly black face. There are two white strips runs along the depth at the head (one anterior to eyes and second on the opercle). Dorsal, caudal and pectoral fins are yellow in colour. The white banner is short compared to other species in the same genus.

Feeds on coral polyps and small invertebrates
