Body flat and elongate with doorsl and anal fins joined to caudal fin. Two lateral lines on the eyed side and one on the blind side. There are 17-21 scale rows between lateral lines on eyed side. Upper side is brownish in colour and lower side is whitish

Feeds mainly on bottom-living invertebrates
