Smaller than M. rosenbergii. About 5 ventral teeth on rostrum. Second pair of legs on the male are long and slender. Both fingers covered in fuzzy hair.

Diet
It feeds on decomposing plants and animals, small worms, insects and their larvae. They are also cannibalistic in nature and may consume freshly molted co- species.
